You’ll Need:

200 (250) 300g of violet Babykid yarn (60% royal mohair, 40% microfiber; 200m/50g);

200 (250) 300g of violet Chiara yarn (70% viscose, 20% royal mohair, 10% polyamide; 200m/50g);

Knitting needles 8;

Circular knitting needles 7.

Note: Work in 2 threads of each color yarn.

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: The quantity of sts is multiple 3 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS row sts and yarn overs as purls; 1st double yarn over – 1 purl, 2nd double yarn over – knit st. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, then, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Stockinette stitch: In RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls, circle rows – knit sts.

Special decreases from the right side: 1 selvage st, 1 knit st, broaching; from the left side: knit 2 together, 1 knit st, 1 selvage st.

Stitches Control:

Relief pattern: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette stitch: 14.5 sts x 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 71 (77) 86 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Then, make 18 cm = 36 rows of relief pattern for the border. After that, work with stockinette stitch while binding off 4 x 1 st from both sides, and 1 x 1 st in every 6th row and in the next 4th row with special decreases = 61 (67) 76 sts. In 28.5 cm = 54 rows from border, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row, making special decreases = 47 (53) 62 sts. In 45.5 cm = 86 rows (47.5 cm = 90 rows) (49.5 cm = 94 rows) from the border, bind off the central 11 (11) 12 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards for neck-hole. In 48.5 cm = 92 rows (50.5 cm = 96 rows) (52.5 cm = 100 rows) from the border, bind off the rest 13 (16) 20 sts of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way as the back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, in 39 cm = 74 rows (41 cm = 78 rows) (43 cm = 82 rows) from the border, bind off the central 7 (7) 8 sts and for smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 50 (56) 62 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Then, make 18 cm = 36 rows of relief pattern for the border. After that, work with stockinette stitch. For the short sides, bind off 2 x st in every 4th row, making special decreases = 46 (52) 58 sts. In 24 cm = 46 rows (24 cm = 46 rows) (22 cm = 42 rows) from border, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then bind off 10 x 1 st and 2 x 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 38 cm = 72 rows (38 cm = 72 rows) (36 cm = 68 rows) from border, bind off the rest 12 (18) 24 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 46 sts along the neck-hole and cast on 33 sts along the neck-hole, working with stockinette stitch on all 79 sts. In 5 cm, bind off all sts as knit sts. Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
