Create Your Own Afghan with Biolana Yarn


You’ll Need:
500g of plum color Biolana yarn (50% eco merino wool, 35% soy, 15% alpaca wool; 100m/50g).
350g of the same yarn, but in violet color.
300g of the same yarn, but in brown color.
300g of the same yarn, but in grey color.
Crochet hook 5.
Size:
88 x 138 cm.
Used Patterns
Square:
1st and 2nd circle row, 4th and 6th circle rows: work with main color yarn.
3rd circle row: work with fringe color yarn.
Finish every circle row with 1 slip st in upper chain st increase. At first, make 6 chain sts with main yarn and circle them with 1 slip st.
- 1st circle row: 12 single crochets in the ring.
- 2nd circle row: 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet, 1 double crochet in the 1st st, then, make 2 double crochets in every st = 24 double crochets.
- 3rd circle rows: 4 chain sts increase instead of the 1st treble crochet, 2 treble crochets in the next st, * 1 treble crochet in the next st, 2 treble crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to * = 36 treble crochets.
- 4th circle row: 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet, 2 double crochets in the space between 1st treble crochet of the previous row, 3 double crochets in the space between 3 treble crochets of the previous row (= group), then, make 1 corner after next 3 treble crochets (= 3 double crochets, 1 chain st, 3 double crochets), * make 1 group after next 3 treble crochets*; repeat from * to * x 3 times, 1 corner.
- 5th and 6th circle rows: make in the same way as the 4th circle row, 5th circle row – WS.
Instructions
Make 77 squares in the following way: 21 squares A, 20 squares B, 18 squares C, and 18 squares D.
Connect the squares due to the scheme. Fasten your afghan with 2 circle rows with 4th and 5th rows of the square, i.e., make 1 group in the spaces and 1 corner in chain st of afghan corner with plum yarn.
I am looking for a pattern crochet octagon for a table. I am just a beginner so don't want one that is hard. Any suggestions? It also must be able to made out of light yarn with a medium size hook.
