Crochet Octagon Motif for Table

Jan 08, 2022 02:07 AM

I saw a comment, that someone need the pattern for octagon motif, here it is:

You’ll need:

Any cotton yarn;

Crochet hook 5 mm.

Instructions

1st rnd: Begin with 4 ch made into a loop or a magic circle.8 dc, ss to first st;

2nd rnd: (dc, ch 1, dc) in each stitch;

3rd rnd: (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each 1 ch space;

4th rnd: When you work the 3 stitches along the sides, I want you to work into the spaces between the stitches instead of into the tops of stitches. (dc, ch 2, dc )in each 2 ch space, dc, htr, dc along sides in between stitches of round 3;

5th rnd: 3 sc in each 2 ch space, sc in each stitch along the sides.

Fasten off yarn & weave in ends.

Assembly

Now to join them as blocks, you’ll need a small square to fill the gaps.

All you’ve done is made a solid granny using htr (hdc US).

1st rnd: 4 x 3 hdc groups separated by 4 x 2 ch corners;

2nd rnd: (hdc, ch 1, hdc) in each 2 ch space,1 hdc in each stitch along sides;

3rd rnd: 3 sc in each 2 ch space, 1 sc in each stitch along sides.
