How to Knit a Cozy Sweater with Grey-Yellow Yarn


You’ll Need:
600 (800) 800 (1000)g of grey-yellow yarn (100% wool; 124m/200g);
Knitting needles size 15;
Circular knitting needles size 15 (50 cm long).
Size:
S (M) L (XL).
Used Patterns
- 2 x 2 rib.
- Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.
Stitches Control:
6 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 34 (36) 38 (41) sts and work with rib for the lower placket in straight and reversed order, starting with the WS row. In 6 cm from the set-up row, continue work with stockinette stitch. In 36 cm from the set-up row, place 1 mark from both sides for sleeves. In 19 (20) 21 (22) cm from marks, bind off sts in one row.
Front
Make in the same way as the back, but in 15 (16) 17 (18) cm from sleeve marks, bind off the central 12 (12) 12 (13) sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. In 4 cm from the beginning of the neck-hole, bind off 11 (12) 13 (14) sts of the shoulder. Make the second half in symmetry.
Sleeves
Cast on 23 (24) 25 (26) sts and work with rib for placket in straight and reversed order, starting with the WS row. In 10 cm from the set-up row, continue work with stockinette stitch. In 34 (35) 36 (37) cm from placket, bind off all sts in one row. Make the second sleeve in the same way.
Assembly
Make shoulder, side, and sleeve seams. Sew up the sleeves. Cast on 28 (28) 28 (32) sts for the collar and work with circular rows of rib. In 15 cm, bind off sts.
