You’ll Need:

550 (600)g of blue-black yarn (100% cotton; 160m/50g);

Crochet hook 3 and 3.5;

2 black buttons of 12 mm diameter.

Size:

S (M).

Used Patterns

Main Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple 8 + 2. Work according to scheme 1. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with sts after pattern repeat.

Make 1st-6th rows once, then repeat 5th-6th rows.

Net Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 1. Make in the same way as the main pattern, but according to scheme 2. Make 1st-3rd rows once, then repeat 2nd-3rd rows.

Stitches Control:

Main Pattern: 29 sts x 9.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm (crochet hook 3.5);

31 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm (crochet hook 3);

Net Pattern: 24.5 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front:

Make 130 (146) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase with crochet hook 3.5 and work with the main pattern. In 35 cm from the set-up row, work with crochet hook 3. In 64 cm from the set-up row, leave ½ pattern repeats from both sides for armholes and 2 x ½ pattern repeat in every next row, 1 x ½ pattern repeat in the next 2nd row, and 3 x ½ pattern repeat in every 4th row open = 28 sts of the set-up row. In 87 cm from the set-up row, finish your work on the rest of the sts.

Back:

Make in the same way as the front, but with a neck-hole. For this, in 64 cm from the set-up row, divide your work in half and finish both sides separately at the height of the front.

Laces:

Make 4.

Make 37 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase with crochet hook 3.5 and work with net pattern = 9 pattern repeats + initial and final sts (= ½ pattern repeat). In 49 cm from the set-up row, leave ½ pattern repeat from both sides and 7 x ½ pattern repeat open. In 79 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly:

Make side seams, catching 2 laces from both sides of the set-up row. The distance of the 1st lace from the lower edge is about 26 cm; place the 2nd lace 6 cm across. Make shoulder seams from both sides to ½ pattern repeat = 1.5 cm wide (1.5 pattern repeats = 4 cm). For the collar, fasten the rest of the sts of the neck-hole with the main pattern. At 7 cm height of the collar, finish your work. Fasten armholes and neck-hole with 1 circular row of single crochets and 1 circular row of “crab stitch”. Sew on buttons.
