Wrong-Side Pattern

In RS row – purls, in WS row – knit stitches.

Cable Pattern

1^st row: 6 knit stitches;

2^nd and all even rows: purl;

3^rd row: cross 6 stitches to the right: leave 3 stitches on the auxiliary needle behind work, 3 knit stitches, 3 knit stitches from the auxiliary needle.

Strap Pattern

1^st row: double broaching;

2^nd and all even rows: purl;

3^rd row: knit stitch, yarn over, knit stitch;

5^th row: 3 knit stitches.

Repeat 1^st-6^th rows.

Instructions

At first, make back and front at the same time. Make 144 chain stitches with crochet hook 2.5 and circle them in the ring. Make 3 circle rows according to scheme 1. Then, make the bottom of the tunic according to scheme 2 for 36 cm. Make 20 cm with crochet hook 2.5, then work with crochet hook 3. After that, make the upper part of back and front separately.

Back

Cast on 72 stitches with knitting needles and make double crochets from these stitches. Make 2 rows of the wrong-side pattern, increase 12 stitches in the 1^st row = 84 stitches. After that, divide stitches in the following way: 1 selvage stitch, 4 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 stitches of cable, 5 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 20 stitches according to scheme 3, 5 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 stitches of cables, 5 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 3 straps, 4 purls, 1 selvage stitch. In 5 cm, increase 3 x 1 stitch in every 8^th row from both sides = 90 stitches. Then, crochet straight for 17 cm. For armholes, bind off 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 1 stitch from both sides = 82 stitches. Then, divide stitches in the following way: 1 selvage stitch, 4 purls, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 stitches of cable, 5 purls, 3 stitches of strap, 32 stitches according to scheme 4, 3 straps, 5 purls, 6 stitches of cable, 5 purls, 3 straps, 4 purls, 1 selvage stitch. In 5 cm from both sides, increase 3 x 1 stitch in every 8^th row = 92 stitches. Then, crochet straight for 17 cm. For armholes, bind off 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 1 stitch. At the same time, bind off the central 16 stitches and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 stitches, 9 x 1 stitch from inwards. Then, crochet straight for 8 cm. Bind off the remaining 22 stitches. Make the second side in symmetry.

Sleeves

Make 50 chain stitches and 1 row of double crochets with crochet hook 3, then make 1 row of double crochets, and turn to knitting needles, cast on 50 stitches. Make 2 rows of the wrong-side pattern, increase 8 stitches in the 1^st row = 58 stitches. Then, divide stitches in the following way: 1 selvage stitch, 9 purls, 32 stitches according to scheme 4. Decrease 1 stitch in every RS row from both sides, starting from the 1^st row. At 12 cm height, bind off the remaining 18 stitches. Make the second sleeve in symmetry.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. Sew up the sleeves in the armholes. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of double crochets.
