You’ll need:

250 (350) of brown yarn (45% cotton, 45% wool, 10% polyamide; 150m/50g);

Knitting needles 4.

Size: S (M).

Used Patterns

Relief pattern A: the quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are states. Make WS sts as they face, yarn overs as knit sts; 2 yarn overs- 1st yarn over as knit st, 2nd yarn over as crossed knit st. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Stockinette stitch: start and finish every row with 1 selvage st. RS rows – knit sts, WS rows – purls.

Chain pattern: the quantity of sts is odd.

RS rows: 1 selvage st, 1 purl, * slip 1 purl, yarn in front of work, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st.

WS rows: 1 selvage st, slip 1 purl, yarn behind work, * 1 knit st, slip 1 purl, yarn behind work*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st.

Relief pattern B: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 2, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS row sts and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st, sts before pattern epeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Patterns order: 52 rows of relief pattern A, 4 rows of stockinette stitch, 2 rows of chain pattern, 2 rows of stockinette stitch, 30 rows of relief pattern B, 2 rows of stockinette stitch, 2 rows of chain pattern, 4 rows of stockinette stitch, 32 (40) rows of relief pattern 1 = totally, 130 (138) rows.

Stitches control: 20 sts x 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 98 (110) sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Don’t take this row into account. Continue work due to the patterns order. At the same time, increase 1 x 1 st in 2 cm = 6 rows from the set-up row for side chamfers, then, 5 x 1 st in every 8th row and increase 1 st in the 52nd row = 111 (123) sts. In 18,5 cm = 54 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides for sleeves, then, increase 1 x 2 sts, 3 x 4 sts, 1 x 6 sts, 1 x 7 sts in every 2nd row and include sts in the pattern = 167 (179) sts. In 34 cm = 98 rows, increase 3 sts for relief pattern A (= 1st row) = 170 (182) sts. In 41 cm = 118 rows (43 cm = 124 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 8 sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers, then, bind off 2 x 8 sts and 3 x 7 sts (1 x 8 sts and 5 x 7 sts) in every 2nd row. In 45 cm = 130 rows (47,5 cm = 138 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the rest 80 sts, the central 66 sts form neck-hole, outer 7 sts from both sides = shoulders.

Front

Make in the same way, as back.

Assembly

Make shoulder and sleeve seams. Make side and sleeve seams.
