Pattern 2: Follow the scheme 2, with only RS rows stated. Make WS rows as sts face.

Stitches Control

25 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front

Cast on 143 sts + 2 selvage sts and make 6 rows of stockinette stitch. Then, make a relief row for the fold: 1 selvage st, * yarn over, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st. Make all purls in the next WS row. Then, make 6 rows of stockinette stitch and continue work with pattern 1. At 32.5 cm height, decrease the sts as follows: 1 selvage st, * knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, 1 selvage st = 74 sts. Then, make 4 rows of stockinette stitch. Make another relief row in the same way as previously and make 4 additional rows of stockinette stitch. After this, work with pattern 2. At 39.5 cm height from the lower edge, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, and 1 x 1 st from both sides for armholes = 58 sts. Then, knit straight. At 46.5 cm height, bind off the central 16 sts for neck-hole and make each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards. At 52.5 cm height, bind off the remaining 16 sts of the shoulder. Make the other side of the neck-hole in symmetry.

Back

Complete in the same way as the front to 45.5 cm height. Then, divide your work into 2 parts: 33 sts (25 sts of pattern 2). Make each side separately. At 52.5 cm height, bind off the sts.

Collar

The collar consists of 2 parts. Cast on 50 sts and make 6 rows of stockinette stitch. Then, create a relief row in the same way as for the bottom of the dress. Afterward, decrease 5 x 1 st in every 4^th row from both sides. Initially, make 4 rows of stockinette stitch, and then, work with garter stitch for 4.5 cm. Create the second half of the collar in the same manner.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. For the back cut, create a placket: cast on 34 sts and make 2.5 cm of 1 x 1 rib, including 2 button-loops in the center (knit 2 together, yarn over). For the arm-hole plackets, cast on 70 sts, make 6 rows of stockinette stitch, then a relief row, and make another 6 rows of stockinette stitch. Make 2 such plackets. Sew the placket, then attach the collar details. Sew the arm-hole plackets and fold them inwards. Insert the lace. Finally, sew the buttons.
