Knitting Instructions for a Light-Grey Sweater with Fancy Patterns



You’ll Need:
600g of Noblesse Pingouin yarn (70% acryl, 30% wool) in light-grey color (# 1817 chuvisco);
Knitting needles 3.5;
Crochet hook 3.5;
1 big button.
Size:

- 2 x 2 rib;
- Fancy patterns 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: due to the schemes with the same numbers;
Fancy Pattern 7:
1st row: 3 chain sts, * 2 chain sts, skip 2 sts of base, 1 double crochet in the next st of base*; repeat from * to *, 3 chain sts, turn;
2nd row: * 2 chain sts, 1 double crochet in the next double crochet*; repeat from * to *;
3rd row: 1 chain st increase, * 2 single crochets in the arch of 2 chain sts, 1 single crochet in double crochet*; repeat from * to *.
Stitches Control:
30 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm (2 x 2 rib).
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 116 sts and work in the following way: (26 sts of 2 x 2 rib, 4 sts of fancy pattern 1) x 3 times, 26 sts of 2 x 2 rib. At 45 cm height from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 14 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides. At 55 cm height, bind off all the sts due to the pattern.
Right Front:
Cast on 62 sts and make 8 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Then, work in the following way: 6 sts of 2 x 2 rib, 6 sts of fancy pattern 2, 2 sts of 2 x 2 rib, 18 sts of fancy pattern 3, 6 sts of 2 x 2 rib, increase 1 st, 3 sts of fancy pattern 4 and 22 sts of 2 x 2 rib. At 45 cm height, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 14 x 1 st in every 2nd row from the left side for raglan chamfer. At 55 cm height, bind off all the sts due to the pattern.
Left Front:
Make in symmetry to the right front.
Sleeves:
Cast on 78 sts and work in the following way: 22 sts of 2 x 2 rib, 4 sts of fancy pattern 1, 26 sts of 2 x 2 rib, 4 sts of fancy pattern 1, 22 sts of 2 x 2 rib. At 10 cm height from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 14 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for raglan chamfers.
Stripe of Yoke (Double Cable):
Cast on 17 sts and work with fancy pattern 5. At 100 cm height, bind off all the sts due to the pattern.
Assembly:
Make raglan seams. Make side and sleeve seams. Cast on 261 sts along the upper edge and make 6 rows of fancy pattern 6 and bind off the sts due to the pattern. Then, make 3 rows of fancy pattern 7 by means of crochet hook. For front plackets, cast on 210 sts along the neck-hole and work with 2 x 2 rib. At 4 cm height from the beginning of work, make 1 button-hole. Continue work with 2 x 2 rib. Bind off all the sts due to the pattern at 8 cm height. Sew the button.
