Knitting Instructions for a Stylish S-M Size Sweater

You’ll Need:

350g of light-beige woolen yarn;

150g of light-beige mohair yarn;

Knitting needles 5.5 mm.

Note:

Work in 3 threads of yarn – 1 woolen and 2 mohair threads of yarn.

Size:

S-M.

Used Patterns:

Relief Rib:

1^st row: * 2 purls, 1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over, knit 2 together*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd and all the WS rows: due to the ornament, yarn overs – as purls;

3^rd row: * 2 purls, knit 2 together, 1 yarn over, 1 knit stitch*; repeat from * to *.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows.

Pearled Pattern:

1 knit stitch, 1 purl, replacing the pattern to 1 stitch after every row.

Huge Pearled Pattern:

1 knit stitch, 1 purl, replacing the pattern to 1 stitch after every 2^nd row.

Stitches Control:

Huge pearled pattern: 16 stitches x 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 80 stitches with knitting needles 5.5 mm and work with huge pearled pattern. In 8 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 x 1 stitch in every 6^th row from both sides for better fitting. In 26 cm from the set-up row, increase 2 x 1 stitch in every 8^th row from both sides. In 40 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 stitches and 3 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row from both sides. In 60 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest stitches.

Right Front:

Cast on 42 stitches with knitting needles 5.5 mm and work with huge pearled pattern. Make arm-hole and fitting from the left side in the same way as for back. In 30 cm from the set-up row, increase 2 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row from the right side and knit them with pearled pattern, at the same time, increase the quantity of pearled pattern stitches to the left: 10 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row and 10 x 1 stitch in every 4^th row. In 60 cm from the set-up row, bind off the stitches of huge pearled pattern, work with pearled pattern on the rest 22 stitches for the collar for 10 cm and bind off the stitches.

Left Front:

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Sleeves:

Cast on 48 stitches with knitting needles 5.5 mm and make 12 cm of relief rib. Then, work with huge pearled pattern, decrease 3 x 1 stitch in every 6^th row from both sides. In 30 cm from the set-up row, increase 3 x 1 stitch in every 8^th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers. In 50 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 stitches, 10 x 1 stitch, and 3 x 2 stitches in every 2^nd row from both sides for sleeve caps. In 64 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest stitches.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams and sew the collar; sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Make 2 cords of 35 cm long and sew them to the front near the collar base.
