NEW TO CROCHET....REQUESTING HELP
I am a relatively new crocheter. I've made blankets and scarves, you know, the easy stuff. Anyway, I came across a pattern on YouTube for a baby blanket that I love, but I'm having problems at the beginning of all places. Understanding the Pattern Requirements They say to use a 4 weight yarn with a 4mm hook and 150 chains, which is supposed to come to measure about 36 inches. When I do it, it comes to about 46". I tried a 3.5mm hook and it only takes it down to about 44. Need Help with Measurements...

How do you knit the truffle stitch
I have a cowl pattern that states to cast on a number of stitches, then the next row is knit the truffle stitch to the end and bind off. The pattern does not instruct on how this is done. It just assumes that the knitter already knows this stitch. I cannot seem to find any instruction on how to knit this stitch anywhere. I tried to contact the designer, but to no avail. Does anyone know how to knit this stitch? Thank you. Kathleen

Magic Loop

How to Change Color of Yarn in Crochet
You can start working with new yarn at any place, but it's better to make it at the end of the row. For working with a new color of yarn, you need to crochet until there are 2 stitches left on the crochet hook. Then, take the old yarn and the "tail" (leave 15 cm to hide) of the new yarn with 3 fingers of your right hand, which hold the crochet hook. Twist the yarn around your left hand fingers as usual and catch the yarn with the crochet hook, drawing through these 2 stitches on the crochet hook, finis...

What is Broaching Stitch
There are two meanings of the term "broaching stitch". First Meaning: Adding a Broaching Stitch The first meaning of this term symbolizes a small part of yarn, which is located between two neighboring stitches.
