Detailed Knitting Instructions for Creative Garment Design Using Gedifra Kid Royal Yarn

Materials Needed

You’ll need:

• 225 (250)g of silver-grey Gedifra Kid Royal yarn (60% mohair, 34% polyamide, 6% wool; 100m/25g);
• Knitting needles size 8;
• Crochet hook size 5.

Used Patterns

Festoon Fastening (Crochet Hook)

1^st row: 1 single crochet in every 4^th stitch of the detail, 5 chain stitches between them;

2^nd row: 7 single crochets in every arch of chain stitches, 1 single crochet in single crochet of the 1^st row, insert the crochet hook in base stitch of the 1^st row.

Main Pattern

Due to the scheme. Start with stitches before the 1^st arrow in width, pattern repeat between arrows, finish with stitches after the 2^nd arrow. Repeat 1^st - 4^th rows.

Stitches Control

16 stitches x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 77 (85) stitches and work with the main pattern. In 31 cm = 50 rows from the set-up row, bind off 5 stitches from both sides for armholes, then, 3 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row = 61 (69) stitches. In 17 cm = 26 rows from the beginning of armholes, bind off the central 23 stitches for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 3 stitches in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 3 cm = 6 stitches from the beginning of neck-hole, bind off the rest 13 (17) stitches of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but with a deeper neck-hole. For this, in 11 cm = 16 rows from the beginning of armholes, bind off the central 15 stitches and finish both sides separately. Bind off 1 x 4 stitches and 6 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row from inwards for smooth rounding. Bind off the stitches of shoulders at the same height as back.

Sleeves

Make 41 stitches and work with the main pattern. For chamfers, increase 1 stitch in every 8^th row from both sides and 7 x 1 stitch in every 8^th row = 57 stitches, include the increased stitches in the main pattern. In 46 cm = 74 rows from the set-up row, bind off 5 stitches from both sides for sleeve caps, 8 x 1 stitch and 2 x 4 stitches in every 2^nd row. Bind off the rest 15 stitches in the next row.

Assembly

Make all the seams. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets. Make festoon fastening along the edges of sleeves and bottom part of work. Sew the sleeves.
