17 sts x 22.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 83 (98) sts with knitting needles 4.5 and make 2 cm = 5 rows of garter stitch for placket, starting with 1 WS row. Then, switch to knitting needles 5 and work with the relief pattern. In 36.5 cm = 82 rows from placket, bind off 3 sts from both sides for armholes and 3 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 63 (78) sts. In 55 cm = 124 rows (58.5 cm = 132 rows) from the placket, bind off the central 27 (34) sts for the neck hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 58 cm = 130 rows (61.5 cm = 138 rows) from placket, bind off the rest 15 (19) sts of the shoulder from each side.
Front
Make in the same way as the back, but with a deeper neck hole. For this, in 47 cm = 106 rows (50.5 cm = 114 rows) from the placket, bind off the central 13 (20) sts and 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row.
Sleeves
Cast on 41 (56) sts with knitting needles 4.5 and make the placket in the same way as for the back. Then, change to knitting needles 5 and work with the relief pattern as follows: start with 1 selvage st and sts before the pattern repeat, make 2 (3) pattern repeats, 1 selvage st. At the same time, increase 10 x 1 st in every 8th row from both sides = 61 (76) sts, including the increased sts in the pattern. In 40 cm = 90 rows from the placket, bind off 3 (5) sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 11 x 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 50.5 cm = 114 rows from the placket, bind off the rest 11 (22) sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams. Cast on 82 (96) sts along the neck hole with circular knitting needles and make a placket with garter stitch. At 2 cm height of the placket, bind off all the sts as knit sts. Sew up the sleeves, and make side and sleeve seams.
