You’ll need:

650g of light-blue yarn (60% sheep wool, 25% merino wool, 15% polyamide; 40m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 10;

Circle knitting needles 9.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

Stripped pattern: due to the scheme, repeat 3rd-6th rows.

Stitches control: stripped pattern: 8 sts x 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Front

Cast on 43 sts and make 1 WS row with knit sts, then, work with the stripped pattern. Repeat the pattern after the selvage st x 4 times, finish with 5 sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. At 36 cm height, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for arm-holes = 35 sts. At 53 cm height, bind off the central 5 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately, for smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row. At 21 cm height of arm-holes, bind off 2 x 3 sts and 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row for shoulder chamfer.

Back

Make in the same way, as front, but for the neck-hole, bind off the central 11 sts at 57 cm height = with the beginning of shoulder chamfer, then, bind off 1 x 2 sts in the next 2nd row from inwards.

Sleeves

Cast on 25 sts and make 1 WS row with knit sts, then, work with the stripped pattern. Repeat the pattern after the selvage st x twice, finish with 5 sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. For sleeve chamfer, increase 3 x 1 st in every 16th row from both sides and knit them with stockinette stitch. At the same time, at 20 cm height, continue working upon both stripes of crossed sts with stockinete stitch. At 43 cm height, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from both sides for sleeve caps, 3 x 1 st in every 4th row, 1 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row, and then, the rest 5 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; for the collar, cast on 48 sts with circle knitting needles along the neck-hole line and make 10 cm of 1 x 1 rib, then, bind off the sts loosely. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
