You’ll Need

150g of light-blue Karolina yarn (100% acryl; 427m/100g);

100g of dark-blue with lurex Magic yarn;

Knitting needles 2;

Crochet hook 2;

4 buttons 1 cm diameter.

Size

3-4 years.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS rows – knit sts, in WS rows – purls;

1 x 1 rib;

Main patterns: due to schemes 1 and 2, which only state RS rows, make WS rows according to the pattern.

Stitches Control

30 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Upper Part

Back

For the left half, cast on 37 sts with light-blue yarn and make 15 cm according to scheme 1. Then, bind off 1 x 10 sts, 1 x 4 sts, and 1 x 2 sts from the left side for the neck-hole. At 18 cm height from the set-up row, bind off the remaining 21 sts of the shoulder. Create the right half in symmetry to the left.

Front

Cast on 75 sts and work for 12 cm according to scheme 1. Then, bind off the central 20 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately, decreasing 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts, and 1 x 1 st every 2nd row from the inside. At 18 cm height from the set-up row, bind off 21 sts of the shoulder.

Skirt

Cast on 175 sts and work according to scheme 1 from 1st to 14th rows. Then, switch to the pattern according to scheme 2 and knit 30 cm more. At 34 cm height from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Sleeves

Cast on 55 sts and work according to scheme 1 from 1st to 14th row. Then, switch to the pattern according to scheme 2, make 8 rows, and increase for sleeve chamfers – 10 x 1 st every 6th row from both sides. At 20 cm height, bind off all the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, cast on 50 sts along the left half of the back and create 3 rows of rib. Cast on 50 sts along the right front and create 3 rows of front. Next, work starting from the neck-hole as follows: 2 sts according to the pattern, bind off 4 sts, *8 sts according to the pattern, bind off 4 sts*; repeat from * to * once, then make 8 sts according to the pattern. Cast on the previously decreased sts in the next row above the bound-off sts and include them in the pattern of rib. At 1.5 cm from the beginning of the rib, bind off all the sts. Cast on 82 sts along the neck-hole and create 3 cm of rib. Make side and sleeve seams. Join the upper part to the skirt and sew up the sleeves. Fasten the edges of the sleeves according to scheme 4 and the edge of the skirt according to scheme 5 using yarn with lurex. Sew buttons. For the belt, make a chain 130 cm long, create a flower according to scheme 3, and sew it to the belt.
