Instructions

Back

Cast on 171 (182) 193 sts with light-blue yarn and work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 5 (6) 7 sts of wrong-side pattern, * 6 sts of relief pattern, 11 (12) 13 sts of wrong-side pattern*; repeat from * to * x 8 times, finish with 6 sts of relief pattern, 5 (6) 7 sts of wrong-side pattern, 1 selvage st. In 48,5 cm = 126 rows from the set-up row, make purl2tog of 2 sts before and after the relief pattern = 151 (162) 173 sts. Repeat these decreases for size S x 3 times in every 6th row and make the last 3 sts between relief pattern as purl3tog; for sizes M and L, repeat these decreases x 4 times in every 6th row = 73 (82) 93 sts. In 57,5 cm = 150 rows from the set-up row, work with stockinette stitch due to the stripes order. At 20,5 cm height = 54 rows (19 cm = 50 rows) 17,5 cm = 46 rows from the stripes order, bind off 3 sts from both sides and 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 57 (66) 77 sts. At 35,5 cm = 92 rows from the stripes order, bind off the central 21 (24) 25 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. At 38,5 cm height = 100 rows from the stripes order, bind off the rest 9 (12) 17 sts of shoulder from both sides.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, at 22,5 cm = 58 rows height from the stripes order, bind off the central 13 (16) 17 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row, 2 x 1 st in every 4th row, 1 x 1 st in the next 6th row.

Sleeves

Cast on 57 (61) 65 sts and make 1,5 cm = 4 rows of wrong-side pattern for the placket. Then, work with stockinette stitch between selvage sts due to the stripes order, increase 19 (21) 23 sts in the 1st row = 76 (82) 88 sts. In 5,5 cm = 14 rows from the placket, bind off 2 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 9 x 2 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row. In 14,5 cm = 38 rows from the placket, bind off the rest 22 (28) 34 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, cast on 134 (138) 142 sts with light-blue yarn and circular knitting needles along the neck-hole line, make 3 circle rows of purls, then, bind off the sts as knit sts. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Fasten the lower edge with 1 row of “shrimp stitch” with light-blue yarn with the help of crochet hook.
