Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated.
Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-26th rows.Stitch Control:
20.5 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back/Front:
Cast on 99 (115) 131 sts and work with the main pattern. In 41 (41.5) 42 cm from the set-up row, bind off 8 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 83 (99) 115 sts. In 55 (57.5) 60 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 45 (49) 53 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. In 60 (62.5) 65 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 (25) 31 sts of shoulder.
Sleeves:
Cast on 51 (67) 67 sts and work with the main pattern. In 6.5 cm from the set-up row, increase 1 st for sleeve chamfers from both sides, then, 2 (3) 2 x 1 st in every 8th row, 0 (3) 0 x 1 st in every 6th row, 8 (3) 8 x 1 st in every 4th row and 3 (0) 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row, include the increased sts in the pattern = 79 (87) 95 sts. In 34 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams; sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Fasten the neck-hole line with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch”.
