Stitches Control:
14 sts = 4” of garter stitch, knitting needles 7 mm.
Instructions:
Yoke:
Cast on 56 (60, 60, 64, 64) sts and place a marker at the beginning of the row. Work with 1 x 1 rib for 10 cm. Then, switch to knitting needles 7 mm and continue as follows:
- 7 (9, 9, 11, 11) knit sts of the right sleeve
- Place marker
- 21 knit sts of the front
- Place marker
- 7 (9, 9, 11, 11) knit sts of the left sleeve
- 21 knit sts of the back
Start making partial work by knitting the sts of the right sleeve, front, and left sleeve, then begin forming the back. Knit the sts of the back to 4 sts before marker, turn, and work with purls to the last 4 sts before marker, then turn again. Continue to the last 2 sts before the marker, turn, work with purls to the last 2 sts before the marker, and turn again. Knit to the beginning of the circle between the right sleeve and front, then make 1 circle row of knit sts.
Form raglan line:
1st rnd: (1 knit st through front and back loops), knit sts to the last 2 sts before marker, increase, then 1 knit st;
2nd rnd: knit;
3rd rnd: (knit sts in the sts of sleeve, transfer marker, increase, 1 knit st) x twice;
4th rnd: knit.
Repeat the last 4 rounds for a total of 15 (16, 18, 19, 21) rows. For sizes S and L, make the 3rd and 4th rows one more time, resulting in 37 (41, 45, 49, 53) sts for sleeves and 81 (87, 93, 99, 105) sts for front/back. Transfer the sts of the sleeves to an auxiliary needle in the next row, cast on 1 new st in their place, and place a marker for the side seam.
Main Detail:
= 166 (178, 190, 202, 214) sts. For the version with a pencil edge, continue work with stockinette stitch to a height of 10.5” for sleeve cuts, then bind off the sts. For the version with a placket, first make 6 (6, 6.5, 7, 8)” of stockinette stitch. Then, knit the sts of front and back separately with rib, as for the collar, using knitting needles 6 mm to create side cuts. For the front, make 4” of rib on 80 (86, 92, 98, 104) sts, and for the back – 5” on the remaining 83 (89, 95, 101, 107) sts. Bind off the sts according to the ornament.
Sleeves:
Transfer the previously left sts of sleeves, lift 1 new st along the cut. Knit 6” of stockinette stitch around. Switch to knitting needles 6 mm and make 2.5” of 1 x 1 rib, then bind off the sts according to the ornament.
