How to Knit a Gorgeous Sweater with Merino Mix Yarn


You’ll Need:
600g of Merino Mix yarn (60% merino wool, 40% acryl; 115m/50g) in beige color (#8);
Knitting needles 3 and 3.5.
Size: one size.
Used Patterns
- 2 x 2 rib;
- Main pattern: follow the scheme A.
Stitch Control
22 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm (using knitting needles 3.5).
Instructions
Back
Cast on 274 sts with knitting needles 3.5 and make 12 rows of 2 x 2 rib, starting with 2 knit sts. Then, decrease 1 st (as knit2tog) and 2 sts (as knit3tog) by turn in every RS row = 262 sts. At 8 cm height, which is 20 rows of 2 x 2 rib, continue work with the pattern according to scheme A, while continuing to make decreases in RS rows - 1 st (as knit2tog) and 2 sts (as knit3tog) by turn until you have 128 sts. After 90 rows from the beginning of the pattern, continue work on 129 sts with 2 x 2 rib, starting and finishing with 1 knit st. Proceed to make decreases from both sides in every RS row – 15 x 2 sts (as knit3tog) until you have 68 sts. At 51 cm height, create 2 x 2 rib on 68 sts, starting and finishing with 1 purl. At 74 cm height, bind off the sts loosely with the ornament.
Front
Make in the same way as back.
Sleeves
Cast on 66 sts with knitting needles 3 and work with 2 x 2 rib, starting with 2 knit sts. At 16 cm height, bind off the sts loosely with the ornament.
Make the second sleeve in the same way.
Assembly
Make all the seams, joining the front and back.
