800g of Mondial Merino Maxi in green color (50% merino wool, 50% acrylic; 60m/100g);

Straight knitting needles 8;

Auxiliary needle;

Tapestry needle.

Used Patterns

Double Rib

Cast on half of the needed quantity of stitches with contrast yarn;

1st row: with working yarn: * 1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *;

2nd row: * yarn over as knit stitch, slip 1 stitch as purl without knitting, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *;

3rd and all following rows: * 1 knit stitch, slip 1 stitch as purl, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *, take off the contrast yarn in the ready-made detail.

Stockinette Stitch

In RS row – knit stitches, in WS row – purls;

Wrong-Side Pattern

In RS row – purls, in WS row – knit stitches;

Cables A and B (18 sts wide)

Work according to the scheme, 21st row: repeat the pattern from the 1st row.

Stitches Control:

14 stitches x 14.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 7 stitches and make 2 stitches of wrong-side pattern, 3 stitches of stockinette stitch, 2 stitches of wrong-side pattern, cast on 2 x 5 stitches, 3 x 4 stitches in every 2nd row from both sides and knit them in the following way: 18 stitches of stockinette stitch from the right side of the central 7 stitches, 2 stitches of wrong-side pattern, 2 stitches of stockinette stitch; in symmetry from the left side of the central 7 stitches. In 10 rows from the setup row (after finishing increases), work on 18 stitches of stockinette stitch with cable B from the right side of the central 7 stitches, and cable A from the left side of the central 7 stitches. Knit the remaining stitches according to the ornament. In 29 cm from the setup row, increase 1 x 1 stitch for the arm-hole plackets from both sides and make the last 3 stitches from both sides as stockinette stitch. In 29 cm from the beginning of neck-hole, leave the remaining 27 stitches for each shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way as back, but replace cables A and B with each other.

Neck-Piece

Cast on 27 stitches and make 2 stitches of stockinette stitch (inner edge), 2 stitches of wrong-side pattern, 18 stitches of cable A, 2 stitches of wrong-side pattern, 3 stitches of double rib. In 85 cm from the setup row, leave all the stitches.

Lower Placket

Cast on 7 stitches and work with stockinette stitch. In 96 cm, leave all the stitches.

Assembly

Connect the previously left stitches of the front and back with Kitchener stitch. Join the previously left stitches of the neck-piece with the stitches of the setup row, circle the neck-piece in a ring. Sew the inner edge of the neck-piece to the neck-hole of front and back. Make side seams. Connect the stitches of the placket with the stitches of the setup row of front and back with Kitchener stitch.
