You’ll Need:

Mixed content yarn (Merino, acryl, nylon; 170m/50g);

Crochet hooks 3.5 and 4;

Needle.

Instructions

Back

Make 16 chain stitches with crochet hook 3.5 and work with rib according to the following description:

1st row: 1 double crochet in the 2nd stitch from the crochet hook, 1 double crochet in every following chain stitch, turn your work;

2nd row: 1 chain stitch, single crochets through back loop, turn.

Continue working according to the previously described scheme until the length of rib is 53 cm.

Main Pattern

First, join the yarn with crochet hook 4 and make 1 chain stitch, then make 85 single crochets.

1st row: (1 chain stitch, 1 double crochet) in the 1st crochet, *1 relief treble crochet in the next crochet 1 row lower, 1 double crochet in the next stitch*; repeat from * to * to end of row, turn;

2nd row: 1 chain stitch, 117 single crochets, turn;

3rd row: 1 chain stitch, 2 single crochets, *1 relief treble crochet, 1 single crochet*; repeat from * to * to the last stitch, 1 single crochet;

4th row: 1 chain stitch, 117 single crochets through back loop of the previous row stitches.

Continue working according to the previously described scheme. Finish your work at 42 cm from the main pattern beginning. Make 1 chain stitch and 1 single crochet in every crochet of the lower row.

Arm-Hole

1st row: 1 slip stitch in the initial 7 stitches, then work with the main pattern, leaving 6 unfinished stitches at the end.

Continue working with the main pattern, finishing at 63.5 cm length.

Neck-Hole (Back)

Make the first 22 stitches with the main pattern, leave the next stitches unfinished, turn your work. Continue working according to the same scheme, finishing at 66 cm from the beginning of work, cut the yarn.

For the second side of neck-hole: skip the central 29 stitches, join the yarn with slip stitch, connecting it with the previous crochet. Continue according to the previously described algorithm.

Front

Make in the same way as the back. Crochet 58.5 cm, make a row of 1 chain stitch and 1 single crochet in every stitch, finish your work.

Neck-Hole (Front)

Make the first 29 stitches with the main pattern. Then, skip 15 stitches, crochet from the second ball of yarn and connect with the previous stitch by means of slip stitch, 1 chain stitch, and make in the same way as for the back side neck-hole.

Sleeves

Make 11 chain stitches with crochet hook 3.5. Continue working with rib, the width of which should be 10 stitches, height – 21 cm.

Join the yarn to the right edge with crochet hook 4, then make 1 chain stitch and 35 single crochets.

Next row: 1 chain stitch, 1 single crochet in every crochet, turn. Continue with the main pattern, making 7 increases in every 2nd row and 14 increases in every 4th row. Finish your work at 53 cm.

Finishing

Make shoulder seams with the help of a needle.

For neck-hole fastening: join the yarn to the left bottom side of the front part of the neck-hole with slip stitch, make 1 chain stitch. Make single crochets along the neck-hole line. Cut the yarn and fix it.

For neck-hole: make 6 chain stitches, work with rib on 5 stitches. Weave in the ends.

Sew the neck-hole to the center of the back. Then, sew the sleeves, and make side and sleeve seams. Cut the yarn.

I’m a bit confused on the stitching. After ribbing, you’re to make 85 sc but once you complete the first round of the repeat pattern you do 117 sc. 

is there a video or photographed version to help understand?
