Knitting Instructions for a Stylish M-Sized Garment


You’ll Need:
800g of woolen yarn;
Knitting needles 4;
6 buttons.
Size:
M.
Stitches Control:
13 sts x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Used Patterns:
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.
Instructions:
Fold of Lower Edge:
Work with stockinette stitch to the needed height, make knit sts in the next WS row.
Then, after finishing the fold line, fold back the edge and sew it from WS.Back:
Cast on 80 sts, make 4 cm of double rib, then continue work with stockinette stitch. Make a placket for fastener along the edges of front, make 6 sts for buttons on the left front.
Pockets:
At 10 cm from the edge and at 8 cm from the side line, form a cut of 12 cm height and knit straight to the neck-hole line. Decrease 6 x 1 st, 3 x 3 sts for the neck-hole line, bind off the rest sts. Make the back side of the pocket. For this, cast on the sts to the knitting needle and make the detail with stockinette stitch, then sew with invisible sts.
Sleeves:
Cast on 40 sts for each sleeve, make 4 cm of double rib and increase 10 sts from both sides, then, at 56 cm height (52 + 4), bind off all the sts.
Assembly:
Make all the seams. Cast on the sts along the neck-hole line (about 80 sts) and make 12 cm of stockinette stitch, then bind off all the sts. Sew up the sleeves. Sew buttons.
