Work according to the scheme.
Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-3rd rows once, after that, repeat 2nd-3rd rows.Rib Pattern
After the sts increase, start with 1 WS row: 1 selvedge st, *1 purl, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl, 1 selvedge st. Make RS row according to the ornament.
Stitches Control
Main Pattern: 7.5 double crochets x 4 rows = 10 x 10 cm,
Average Stitches Control with Knitting Needles: 15 sts x 16.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
With Knitting Needles 7: 17 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Make 39 (43) 47 sts + 3 chain sts increase, main pattern = 38 (42) 46 double crochets. After making 32.5 cm = 13 rows from the bottom part, bind off 1 x 4 sts for the arm-holes from both sides. For this, make these sts in the beginning of the row with slip st and leave them unfinished at the end of the row = 30 (34) 38 double crochets. After crocheting 55 cm = 22 rows (57.5 cm = 23 rows), 60 cm = 24 rows, leave the central 10 double crochets unfinished for the neck-hole, finish both sides separately.
After 57.5 cm = 23 rows (60 cm = 24 rows), 62.5 cm = 25 rows from the bottom part, finish your work at 10 (12) 14 double crochets.
Left Front
Make 5 (7) 9 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern = 4 (6) 8 double crochets. In order to make chamfer, make increases from the left side, starting with the set-up chain, 5 x 2 double crochets every 2nd row. For this, make 2 extra double crochets between the last double crochet and selvedge double crochets of the previous row = 14 (16) 18 double crochets. Make the right arm-hole in the same way as for the back. Finish shoulder on the last 10 (12) 14 double crochets at the height of back.
Right Front
In symmetry to the left front.
Sleeves
Make 25 (29) 33 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and continue with the main pattern = 24 (28) 32 double crochets.
In order to make shoulder chamfers, increase 7 x 1 double crochet every 2nd row from both sides. After 42.5 cm = 17 rows from the set-up row, finish at 38 (42) 46 double crochets.
Assembly
Fasten the bottom of the back with 63 (71) 79 slip sts using crochet hook 7.
Cast on 1 st from every slip st with circle knitting needles 5.5 and make 12 cm = 20 rows of rib for the placket, at the same time, in 4 rows, turn to circle knitting needles 6.5. After that, bind off the sts loosely and make shoulder seams.
Fasten the edge of the front to the side seam with 121 (125) 129 slip sts using crochet hook 7 and half of the neck-hole from the back side to the center – with 16 slip sts. Cast on 1 st from every slip st to the circle knitting needles 5.5 and make placket on the 137 (141) 145 sts, as you did for back, but start in the 1st WS row between selvedge st with 1 knit st and finish with 1 knit st. Make the placket of the left front + ½ of the neck-hole line from back in symmetry.
Fasten the lower edge of each sleeve with 26 (32) 38 slip sts and crochet hook 7. Cast on 1 st from every slip st with knitting needles 6.5, then, work with knitting needles 7 and make a placket with rib, starting with 1 knit st between selvedge st in the 1st WS row and finishing with 1 purl. After 14.5 cm = 26 rows from the placket, bind off all the sts according to the pattern.
Sew up the sleeves. Make lower seams of plackets, side, and sleeve seams; after that, make placket seams in the middle of neck-hole line from back side.
