Easy Crochet Cocoon for Babies


You’ll Need:
2 skeins of Chunky Weight Yarn (Size 6) in Your Color Choice(s);
Crochet hook 9 mm;
Tapestry needle;
Scissors;
Measuring tape.
Stitches Control:
9 sts x 5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Size:
22″ circumference X 20″ long.
Instructions:
Make a Magic Ring.
Round 1:
Ch 1, 7 sc in magic ring, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight.
– 7 stsRound 2:
Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. – 14 sts
Round 3:
Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st; repeat from *, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. – 21 sts
Round 4:
Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts; repeat from *, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. – 28 sts
Round 5:
Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts; repeat from *, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. – 35 sts
Round 6:
Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 4 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 4 sts; repeat from *, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. – 42 sts
Rounds 7-27:
Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st and each st around, join. – 42 sts
Or until the cocoon measures 20 inches long.
Finish off. Weave in ends.
