Edging

Rotate your work to continue down the side edge of your project. The edging is worked in rounds around the outside edges of your project. You do not need to sl st to join at the end of the round unless indicated.

R1: Work 98 sc evenly down the side edge of the project (I worked 2 sc for each dc row end and 1 sc for each sc row end). At the corner, ch 2 and rotate to work along the bottom edge (the starting chain row). Work 90 sc evenly across to the next corner. Ch 2 and rotate your work to work up the other side edge of the project. Work 98 sc evenly up this side edge. At the corner, ch 2 and rotate your work to continue across the top edge. Work 90 sc evenly across to the final corner. Ch 2 and sl st to the first st of this round to join. [376 sc, 4 ch2sp]

R2: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc, ch 1), sk 1 sc. *1 dc in the next sc, ch 1, sk 1 sc**. Rep from * to ** across to the corner ch2sp. 4 dc in the corner ch2sp. Rep from * to ** across to the next ch2sp. 4 dc in the corner ch2sp. Rep from * to ** across to the next ch2sp. 4 dc in the corner ch2sp. R3: *1 sc in each dc and 1 sc in ch1sp across to the corner 4 dc. The corner is worked like this: 1 sc in each of the first 2 dc, 3 sc in the next dc (this is the 3rd dc in the corner), 1 sc in the last dc in the corner.** Rep from * to ** 3 more times. [400 sc]

R4: *1 sc in each sc across to the second sc in the corner 3 sc set (Note: I’m going to refer to this as the corner sc). Work 3 sc in the corner sc.** Rep from * to ** 3 more times. Finish off with an invisible join and weave in your ends. [412 sc]
