Crochet Hat with Visor and Car Appliqué Instructions

You’ll Need

About 20g of white and blue yarn (each) of middle weight;

Odds of black yarn;

Crochet hook size 1.4.

Head Circumference: 48-50 cm.

Instructions

Make 4 chain stitches with blue yarn. Then, work according to the scheme, alternating the rows of blue yarn with the rows of white yarn, as shown in the photo.

Crown

Make the crown by alternating the last 2 rows of the scheme. Continue to work to the desired depth of the hat. Finish the last row with single crochets.

Visor

Make single crochets on the central 76 stitches to a height of 16 rows.

Fasten the hat along the bottom part and visor using slip stitches.

Buttons

Crochet buttons using white yarn (or you can use simple round buttons). Twist the yarn in 8-10 rotations around a pen or pencil.

Take out the obtained ring and fasten it with single crochets (insert the crochet hook in the center of the ring). Connect the row using a slip stitch.

Continue fastening with single crochets (1 more row), ensuring to insert the crochet hook in the center of the ring, not on the just made stitches. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Fold the visor from both sides and sew the buttons securely.

Car Appliqué

Make the car appliqué following the scheme with blue yarn and single crochets.

Sew the finished appliqué to the hat to complete your project.
