Easy Knitting Instructions for a Baby Garment

You'll Need:

25g of 100% mercerized cotton of the main color + the same yarn of another color;

Knitting needles size 2.5 mm.

Garter Stitch:

All knit stitches.

Main Pattern:

1st Row - 1 stitch increase = 1 knit stitch cross from the broaching, *16 stitches of garter stitch, 1 double broaching (slip 2 stitches as if stockinette stitch, knit stitches, draw these stitches through the slipped), 16 stitches of garter stitch, 1 stitch increase, 1 stitch of garter stitch, 1 stitch increase*, 16 stitches of garter stitch, 1 double broaching, 16 stitches of garter stitch, 1 stitch increase.

2nd Row: All stitches of garter stitch.

Instructions:

Cast on 109 stitches. Make 1 row of purls. Then, 24 rows with knit stitches using the main color yarn, 6 rows with the auxiliary color yarn, 6 rows with the main color yarn, 6 rows with the auxiliary color yarn, and then continue with the main color yarn. After 15 cm from the edge of your work, bind off the stitches - this will be the front edge. Make a seam as if creating tulip petals. Make straps approximately 16 cm long.
