Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

6 Post-dc = 2″, 4 Post-dc rows = 2″.

Joining Techniques

Joining with Single Crochet (sc)

When instructed to join with sc, begin with a slip knot on the hook, insert the hook in the stitch or space indicated, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on the hook.

Special Stitches

Front Post Raised Double Crochet (FPdc)

YO, insert the hook in front of the work from right to left around the next dc of the previous row, YO, pull up a loop, (YO, pull through 2 loops) twice.

Back Post Raised Double Crochet (BPdc)

YO, insert the hook in back of the work from right to left around the next dc of the previous row, YO, pull up a loop, (YO, pull through 2 loops) twice.

Note: When FPdc or BPdc is worked, do not work stitch directly behind stitch. Skip this stitch and work in the next stitch.

Flower Instructions

Bottom Row – First Flower

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Flower Color, ch 4, join with sl st in first ch to form ring; ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), (dc in ring, ch 1) 7 times; join with sl st to first dc. (8 ch-1 spaces)

Rnd 2: Sl st to ch-1 space, ch 1, (sc, 3 dc, sc) in same ch-1 space; * (sc, 3 dc, sc) in next ch-1 space; repeat from * around; join with sl st to first sc. (8 petals) Finish off and weave in ends.

Note: Basket and Flowers are all worked and joined from the Right Side.

Bottom Row – Second Flower

Rnd 1: With next color, repeat Rnd 1 of Bottom Row First Flower.

Rnd 2: Sl st to ch-1 space, ch 1, (sc, 2 dc) in same space; working on previous Flower, sl st in center dc of any petal; working on current Flower, (dc, sc) in same ch-1 space, (sc, 2 dc) in next ch-1 space; working on previous Flower, sl st in center dc of next petal; working on current Flower, (dc, sc) in same ch-1 space; * (sc, 3 dc, sc) in next ch-1 space; repeat from * around; join with sl st to first sc.
