Special Stitches in Crocheting: V Stitch and Double V Stitch

Special Stitches

V Stitch (V st): 1dc, 1ch, 1dc.

Double V Stitch (Double V st): 2dc, 1ch, 2dc.

The quantity of sts is a multiple of 6 + 5 + 2 chain sts increase.

Row Instructions

1st Row (WS): Work a V st into 5th ch from hook, *skip 2ch, work V st into next ch; rep from * to last 2ch, skip 1ch, 1dc into last ch, turn;

2nd Row: 3ch, skip 2 sts, work a Double V into ch sp at center of V st, *1ch, skip next V st, work a Double V st into sp at center of next V st; rep from * leaving last loop of last dc of last Double V st on hook and working it together with 1dc into top of tch, turn;

3rd Row: 3ch, work a V st into each sp to end finishing with 1 dc into top of tch, turn;

4th Row: 3ch, 1dc into 1st st, *1ch, skip next V st, work a Double V st into sp at center of next V st; rep from * until 1 V st remains, 1ch, skip V st, 2dc into top of tch, turn;

5th Row: 3ch, work a V st into each sp to end finishing with 1 dc into top of tch, turn.

Repeat rows 2-5.
