Special Stitches

V Stitch (V st) - 1dc, 1ch, 1dc.

Double V Stitch (Double V st) - 2dc, 1ch, 2dc.

The quantity of sts is multiple of 6 + 5 + 2 chain sts increase.

Instructions

1st Row (WS)

Work a V stitch into the 5th chain from hook, *skip 2 chains, work V stitch into the next chain; repeat from * to last 2 chains, skip 1 chain, and 1dc into the last chain, turn;

2nd Row

3 chains, skip 2 stitches, work a Double V into the chain space at the center of V stitch, *1 chain, skip the next V stitch, work a Double V stitch into the space at the center of the next V stitch; repeat from * leaving the last loop of the last double crochet of the last Double V stitch on the hook and working it together with 1dc into the top of turning chain, turn;

3rd Row

3 chains, work a V stitch into each space to the end finishing with 1 dc into the top of turning chain, turn;

4th Row

3 chains, 1dc into the 1st stitch, *1 chain, skip the next V stitch, work a Double V stitch into the space at the center of the next V stitch; repeat from * until 1 V stitch remains, 1 chain, skip the V stitch, 2dc into the top of turning chain, turn;

5th Row

3 chains, work a V stitch into each space to the end finishing with 1 dc into the top of turning chain, turn.

Repeat the 2nd to 5th rows.
