How to Crochet Your Own Cotton Socks

You’ll Need:
100g of white Novita Tennessee yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 107m/50g);
Crochet hook 3.
Instructions
Start your work with the toe. Twist the thread of yarn around your finger and make 8 single crochets in the obtained ring, then tighten the hole. Work with single crochets in spiral order, catching stitches through the back loop and making increases in the following way:
Rows
1st row: 2 single crochets in every stitch (16 stitches);
2nd row: * 3 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch *; repeat from * to * (20 stitches);
3rd row: * 4 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch *; repeat from * to * (24 stitches);
4th row: * 2 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch *; repeat from * to * (32 stitches);
5th row: * 3 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch *; repeat from * to * (40 stitches).
Make 10 rows without increases. Then, increase stitches from both sides of the toe in the following way: 2 single crochets in the 1st of the previous row, 19 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the 1st, 19 single crochets (42 stitches).
Make such increases every 5th row (48 stitches).
Fit your future sock and make decreases or increases if needed. Then, crochet straight until the length of work is the same as the length of foot to heel (approximately 16-17 cm).
Making the Heel
Start making the heel by dividing your work in half along the side edges and working only on the stitches of the lower part of the foot (24 stitches) with straight and reversed rows in the following way: turn, 24 single crochets, turn. After that, leave 1 stitch open at the beginning of every row until there are 12 stitches left. Crochet these 12 stitches and start making increases: 1 stitch at the beginning of every row until the quantity of stitches is 24.
After that, continue to crochet around all the stitches with single crochets for 5 more rows, catching stitches through back loops. Cut and fasten the yarn. Finally, make the side seams of the heel.
