Comprehensive Crochet Guide for Ecru and White Yarn Patterns

You’ll Need:

350 (400)g of ecru yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyacryl; 125m/50g);

200 (250)g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Main Pattern:

Due to the scheme, start with stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish according to the pattern.

Relief Square:

Make 5 chain stitches with white yarn and circle them in the ring with 1 slip stitch. Replace the 1^st single or double crochet of every circle row to 1 or 3 chain stitches increase, finishing with 1 slip stitch in the last replaced chain stitch.

• 1^st circle row, white yarn: *1 double crochet, 1 chain stitch* in the ring; repeat from * to * x 7 times;
• 2^nd circle row, white yarn: 1 slip stitch in the arch, *1 single crochet in the arch, 3 chain stitches*; repeat from * to *;
• 3^rd circle row, white yarn: 1 slip stitch in the arch, make 1 single crochet + 1 half crochet + 3 double crochets + 1 half crochet + 1 single crochet in every arch. Finish circle row and cut the yarn;
• 4^th circle row, ecru yarn: join the yarn to the middle double crochet of the 1^st arch, 3 double crochets, *3 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in the middle of the next 3 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 5 double crochets in the middle of the next 3 double crochets*; repeat from * to *, finish with 3 chain stitches, 1 single crochet in the middle of the next 3 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 2 double crochets to the initial 3 double crochets;
• 5^th circle row, contrast yarn: 1 double crochet + 1 chain stitch + 1 double crochet in the middle double crochet of the 5^th group of crochets, make 1 double crochet in every arch of 4 double crochets in the rest double and single crochets.

Flower:

Make 5 chain stitches with ecru yarn and circle them in the ring with 1 slip stitch. Make *1 single crochet (replace the 1^st stitch with 1 chain stitch), 1 half crochet, 3 double crochets, 1 half crochet, 1 single crochet* in the ring; repeat from * to * x 3 times, finishing with 1 slip stitch in the replaced chain stitch.

Stitches Control:

Main pattern: 21.5 chain stitches increase x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back:

Make 197 (221) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase and work with the main pattern. In 45 cm from the set-up row, divide your work and finish both sides separately in the following way: the first or last 38 (44) stitches = right or left front, the central 121 (133) stitches – back. Finish all the details at 70 cm height.

Assembly:

Make 12 relief squares and flowers (each). Sew flowers in the center of each square. Sew 6 squares between one another according to the pattern design and use them as a placket on the front. Bind off shoulder seams. Fasten the edges of the front and neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets and edges of arm-holes with 2 circle rows of single crochets. Make 6 chain stitches as a button-loop on the right front. Sew the button to the left front.
