Crochet 3 Layer Flower

Crocheting a 3-layer flower is a delightful and creative project that can bring a touch of whimsy to any craft piece. Materials:

A crochet hook : 3.mm (D/3).

Yarn: a very small amount of worsted weight yarn (I used HiMALAYA EVERYDAY SUPER LUX, (4) Medium, 100% Anti-Pilling Acrylic, 100 g, 250 mt, 273 yards, 3.5 oz) 1 ball of Red color. 1 ball of Off White color.

Stitch markers (for beginners).

Yarn Needle (to weave in ends).

Scissors.

Abbreviations(US Terms):

Ch – chain.

St/sts – stitch/stitches.

Sl st – slip stitch.

Sc – single crochet.

Hdc – half double crochet

Dc – double crochet.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Pattern: Layer 1:

Round 1: make a magic ring and ch 1, 15 sc in the ring (circle), sl st in the first st. (15 sts)

Round 2: ch 4, skip 2 sts, sl st in next, now repeat (ch 4, skip 2 sts, sl st in next st) 4 times, sl st in the first ch. (5 spaces)

Time to make your first petal!

Round 3: Now work in the ch spaces, ch 1, and (sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) all in each 4 ch space, sl st in the first st. (5 petals)

Layer 2:

Now ch 1, turn your work and enter your hook behind the next sl st from the previous round as you see in the picture (behind first petal, sl st into loop furthest from hook behind the first petal), then sl st, now ch 5, sl st in next sl from the previous round, repeat that around, sl st in the first ch. (5 spaces)

Ch 1 and turn your work, now make (sc, hdc, 4 dc, hdc, sc) all in each 5 ch space, sl st in the first st. (5 petals)

Layer 3:

We will repeat the same thing as layer 2 with differences in the number of sts. ch 1 and turn your work, enter your hook behind the next sl st from the previous round (behind first petal, sl st into loop furthest from hook behind the first petal) and make sl st, ch 6 and sl st in next sl st and make sl st, repeat that around, sl st in the first ch. (5 spaces)

Ch 1 and turn your work, now make (sc, hdc, 5 dc, hdc, sc) all in each 6 ch space, sl st in the first st. (5 petals)

Ch 1 and leave a long tail for sewing, This can be used to sew on your flower to your project. Cut your yarn.

Tighten the ring to get rid of the hole.
