Crochet Skirt Pattern Instructions and Color Techniques

You’ll Need:

300 (350) 400g of yarn (44% polyamide, 28% alpaca superfine, 28% mohair; 175m/50g) in anthracite color;

50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in light-pink, light-blue, bright-pink, and pink colors (each);

Crochet hook size 6.

Wavy Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is multiple of 10.

Order of colors in wavy pattern: 2 anthracite rows, 2 light-pink rows, 2 anthracite rows, 2 light-blue rows, 2 anthracite rows, 2 bright-pink rows, 2 anthracite rows, 2 pink rows*; repeat from * to *.

Main Pattern:

The quantity of stitches is multiple of 16 + 2. Work according to the scheme. Start with stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-3^rd rows once, then repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows.

Stitches Control:

• wavy pattern: 12.5 stitches x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
• main pattern: 12 stitches x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Skirt:

Make 120 (130) 140 chain stitches with anthracite yarn and connect them with 1 slip stitch to work in wavy pattern. In 51 cm = 66 circular rows from the setup row, make 1 circular row of double crochets with anthracite yarn, decreasing 24 (22) 24 stitches = 96 (108) 116 stitches. Then, divide your work in half (front and back), increasing 1 stitch for edge stitches from both sides = 50 (56) 60 stitches. Continue making back on the 1^st half with the main pattern. For M and L sizes, start and finish with 3 or 5 extra double crochets from both sides. In 19 cm = 15 rows from the wavy pattern, make 55 chain stitches for sleeves from both sides and include them in the main pattern = 160 (166) 170 stitches. In 38 cm = 30 rows (39 cm = 31 row) 40 cm = 32 rows from the wavy pattern, finish your work. Make the front on the 2^nd half.

Assembly:

Make shoulder and upper sleeve seams, leaving the central 26 cm open for the neck-hole. Make side and lower seams for sleeves.
