ch 6. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each remaining ch. (5 sts)

Rows 2-5

ch 1, TURN. Sc in each st across. (5 sts)

Row 6

ch 1, TURN. Skip 1st 2 sts. Work 5 trc in next st. Sl st in end (corner) st. Turn work slightly, to work across end of rows. Skip 1st 2 rows. Work 5 trc in next row. Sl st in last row. Fasten off.

Row 7

Rejoin yarn with a sl st in bottom point of heart. Ch 7. Skip next 4 row ends. Sl st in next row end (this is where the sc sts meet the trc sts). Ch 7. Skip the next 3 trc sts. Sl st in next trc st. Ch 7. Skip next trc, sl st, and next trc. Sl st in the next trc. Ch 7. Skip next 3 trc sts. Sl st in next row end (where trc meets sc on opposite side). Ch 7. Skip next 4 row ends, and sl st in same st as beginning ch 7. (5 ch 7 spaces)

Row 8

ch 1. In each ch 7 space around, work the following combination of sts~ {1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 trc, ch 1, sl st in top of trc. 2 dc, hdc, ch 1. Sl st in ch 7 space, ch 1}. Join to beginning ch 1, after completing all 5. Fasten off.
