  • 2.15oz of Worsted Weight #3 cotton yarn in color 2

  • 5.00mm Clover crochet hook

Crocheting Instructions

With color 1 ch82, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, (RS) 1dc in next ch, * ch2, skip 2ch, 1dc in each of next 2ch, rpt from * to * to last ch, 1dc in last ch. Turn. (18 blocks of 2dc + 2 blocks of 3)

Next Row: ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, ch2, skip 2dc, * working over the ch2 work 1dc in each of the next two foundation ch’s, ch2, skip 2dc, * rpt from * to * to ch3 to turn, 1sc in top ch3. Fasten off. Turn.

1st Pattern Row

2nd Pattern Row

Rpt 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows alternating colors 1 & 2 until 42 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 13.3 inches from beginning. Turn.

Edging Instructions

Work 41sc evenly down the first side of mat, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each ch along the cast-on edge, 3sc in corner, 41sc evenly along the second side of mat, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each hdc and sc to corner, sl st to center sc. Fasten off.

Finishing Touches

Work 2 more rows of sc along both short sides of mat to balance colors. Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim.
