Crochet Hook

G6 (4.00 mm) crochet hook, OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

Gauge

15 dc and 7 rows to 4”/10 cm.

Instructions

Notes:

  1. Ch 3 at beg of rounds count as dc throughout.
  2. Ch 2 at beg of rounds does not count as st throughout.
  3. To avoid mistake(s), count stitches in each round when finished.

Rounds Instructions

Rnd 1: Begin with a magic ring, ch 2, 16 dc in magic ring; join with sl st in first dc – 16 dc.

Note: You may search “magic ring” on You Tube for detailed instruction.

Rnd 2: (Ch 5, dc) in first st, skip next st, * (dc, ch 2, dc) in next st, skip next st; rep from * around; join with sl st in ch-5 space – 16 dc and 8 ch-2 spaces.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in first space, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 space; rep from * around; join with sl st to top of beg ch 3 – 32 dc and 8 ch-2 spaces.

Rnd 4: Sl st in each of next 2 sts, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in first ch-2 space, * (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-2 space; rep from * around; join with sl st to top of beg ch 3 – 48 dc and 8 ch-3 spaces.

Rnd 5: Sl st in each st around; join with sl st in first sl st – 72 sts.

Fasten off. Weave in ends.
