Materials Needed

• LionBrand Homespun (Grape - approximately 1 ounce)
  Referred to as Solid Yarn in pattern.
• LionBrand Homespun (Tudor - approximately 2 ounces)
  Referred to as Variegated Yarn in pattern.
• Hook Size N

Stitches Used

• ch - Chain
• dc - Double Crochet
• sl st - Slip Stitch
• sc - Single Crochet
• picot
• 5dc pc - 5 Double Crochet Popcorn

Picot

Picot = Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

5dc Popcorn Stitch

5dc pc = Work 5 dc in st, drop lp from hook, insert hook in first st of 5-dc group, pick up dropped lp, draw through st.

Crochet Instructions

Row 1

RND 1: With Variegated yarn, Ch4, 11dc in 4th ch from hook. (12dc)
Fasten off.

Row 2

RND 2: Join Solid yarn with sl st in any dc. Ch3.
4dc in same st. Remove hook from loop, insert hook in top of beg ch3, put loop back on hook and pull through. (this makes a popcorn)
Ch5. Sk next dc.
(5dc pc in next st. Ch5. Sk next dc.) around.
Join with sl st in top of first popcorn.
Fasten off.

Row 3

RND 3: Join Variegated yarn in any ch-sp. Ch3.
(3dc, ch3, 4dc, ch3) in same sp.
(4dc, ch3, 4dc, ch3) in ea rem ch-sp.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
Fasten off.

Row 4

RND 4: Join Solid yarn with sl st in any ch-sp.
Ch3. 4dc in same sp. Remove hook from loop, insert hook in top of beg ch3, put loop back on hook and pull through. (this makes a popcorn)
