You Will Need:

Katia Aire yarn (35% mohair, 35% alpaca, 30% polyamide; 150m/25g) - 7 pink skeins and 9 violet skeins;

Straight or circular needles size 10.

Stitches Control:

(3 fold yarn) 10 sts and 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Fold violet yarn three times and cast on 64 sts. Knit with garter stitch.

Add 4 sts from edges of the row in order to maintain garter stitch. Knit 25 cm, then change one of the threads to the pink color and continue until the length reaches 50 cm. After that, change the second thread to pink and knit to 75 cm from the first set-up row. For the final part of the back, use pink yarn folded three times, and change the last violet thread to pink. When the length of the back is 93 cm from the first row, divide your work into 2 parts and knit 4 sts with garter stitch along the edges of the back. Continue to knit until you reach a length of 100 cm, then finish your work.

Front

Fold violet yarn three times and cast on 37 sts. Create the right front in the same manner as you did for the back. After knitting 40 cm from the very beginning, cast on 1 st from the left side and continue with stockinette stitch plus 4 sts of garter stitch along its edges. Knit a total of 100 cm from the set-up row, then bind off all sts of the final row. The left front of the mohair vest is formed symmetrically to the right front.

Assembly

At this stage, you will need to assemble all the parts into one piece. Sew the details together with side and shoulder seams. Remember that armholes should start at a height of 75 cm from the lower part of your work, and the width of the placket is 40 cm.
