You’ll Need:

40g of cream, coffee with milk, mélange brown, yellow, blue-green, light-blue, dark-grey, burgundy, ruddy, violet, inky Lanoso Bonito yarn (51% acryl, 49% wool; 300m/100g) (each);

100g of the same yarn, but in olive color for the main work and fringe;

Crochet hook size 2.

Size:

S-M.

Instructions

Back and Front

Make 170 chain stitches and work the 1st row with double crochets using the olive yarn, then cut the yarn. For subsequent rows, work only with right side double crochets by joining new yarn from the same side each time. Use 9 colors of yarn in the 1st row as follows:

  • First color – 20 double crochets; do not cut the yarn.
  • Remaining colors – 20 double crochets each.
  • Last color - 10 double crochets.

Cut the last 2 threads of yarn in that row. In the next row, join new color yarn from the right side. Make 20 double crochets, catching the loose end of yarn from the previous row. Join another thread of yarn, work 20 double crochets, and join the yarn from the previous row to continue with the next 20 double crochets in the same manner. Cut only the last yarn at the end of the row.

This process will create a “brick” pattern. Only cut the last 1-2 threads of yarn; the rest will be utilized in the next rows. Repeat the order of colors from the 2nd to the 9th rows, completing 53 rows up to the arm-hole.

In the 54th row, divide your work into 3 parts: 43 double crochets for each side of the front and 84 stitches for the back. Create 13 rows for each front. For the neck-hole, make 1 decrease starting from the 14th row along the edge of the front until there are 30 stitches left for each side. Work the back and front separately for 23 rows and complete the last rows of both using the main color. Sew the shoulder seams from the wrong side and fasten off the yarn.

Attach the olive yarn to the lower edge of the front from the right side. Create 5 rows using a “rib” pattern as per the scheme and make 3 double crochets in the corners of the neck-hole to increase.

Finalize the edges of the arm-holes using the rib pattern, making 3 crochet stitches together at the bottom of each arm-hole.
