​Blue Shawl with Beads

You’ll need:

500g of light-blue Mille yarn (50% Merino wool, 50% acryl; 55m/50g);

Knitting needles 8.

Size: 152 х 75 cm.

Used Patterns

Wrong-side pattern: in RS rows – purls, in WS rows – knit sts;

Big pearled pattern: 1 knit st, 1 purl by turn, replacing the pattern after every 2^nd row;

Cable (9 sts wide): 1^st and 5^th rows: knit;

2^nd and all WS rows: purl;

3^rd row: leave 3 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 3 knit sts, 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle;

7^th row: 3 knit sts, leave 3 sts on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle. Repeat 1^st-8^th rows;

Beads pattern (12 sts wide): due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the ornament, the sts of beads – as purls. Repeat 1^st-22^nd rows x once, then, repeat 7^th-22^nd rows.

Stitches control: wrong-side pattern: 11 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Average: 13 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 200 sts and work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 14 sts of big pearled pattern, 12 sts of zigzags pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of beads pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of zigzags pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 9 sts of cable pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 9 sts of cable pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of beads pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 9 sts of cable pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 9 sts of cable pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of zigzags pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of beads pattern, 5 sts of wrong-side pattern, 12 sts of zigzags pattern, 14 sts of big pearled pattern, 1 selvage st.

At the same time, decrease * 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row*; repeat from * to * x 18 times, then, decrease 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st.

For decreases, make 2 sts after selvage sts together as broaching (= slip 1 knit st, 1 knit st and draw it through the slipped st) or 3 sts together as double broaching (= slip 1 knit st, knit2tog and draw it through the slipped st) from the right side, and 2 or sts together as knit st before selvage st from the left side.

At 75 cm height = 120 rows, bind off the rest 4 sts, make the central 2 sts as knit2tog. Make tassels of 4 threads 40 cm long.
