Crochet an Adorable Owl Hat for Infants

You’ll Need:

Different colors of yarn (purple, orange, white, black, red);

Instructions

Make 12 double crochets in a ring with purple yarn.

Increase the quantity of stitches to 24 in the 2nd row by means of increases. In the 3rd-4th rows, make increases in 1 crochet, and in the 5th row – in every 3 crochets.

Make 9-10 rows without increases and your hat will be ready.

Ears

Make 6 single crochets in a ring with purple yarn.

Increase 3 crochets in the 2nd row.

3rd row – without changes.

4th-6th rows – add 3 crochets.

7th row: add 2 single crochets.

8th-10th – without changes.

Make tassels for the ears. Draw several threads of yarn through the upper loop of the ear, tighten, and even with scissors.

Eyes

Make 12 double crochets in a ring with white yarn.

2nd row: increase the quantity of stitches twice;

3rd row: knit 2 together in every 2nd stitch.

Pupil

Make 12 double crochets in a ring with black yarn.

Beak

Make beak with orange yarn. Make 6 crochets in the slip stitch, and increase 3 crochets in the next 3 rows.

Hat for Owl

Make 30 chain stitches with red yarn and circle in the ring. Make 2 rows with double crochets and change the yarn to orange. Decrease 6 crochets on the next 2 rows and turn to red yarn, then finish your work.

Assembly

Sew eyes. Sew ears to the hat and attach the owl hat between them.
