Knitting Instructions for Adorable Booties

You'll Need:

About 50g of yarn (middle weighed);

Knitting needles 3 and 3.5;

Crochet hook 3.

Instructions

Cast on 35 sts and knit with garter stitch for some rows. Make increases from both sides from the central st in a row three times. You should get 47 sts.

Then, knit 2 rows with garter stitch, but take another color yarn.

After that, turn to the main color yarn and knit the next 6 rows with garter stitch.

For forming the front part of booties, make in the same way as you'll make the heel. Divide the sts into three groups: 18 sts for each side, 11 sts in the center. Knit the first 18 sts, then the next 10 sts, and knit the 11th st together with the next st. Turn your work. Knit 10 sts, then knit the 11th st together with the next st. Continue until there are 11 sts on the knitting needles.

Then, work with the 11 central sts. We will make a “wind screen” for your vehicles on these sts. For this, take another color yarn. Make 10 rows with garter stitch, then make decreases from both sides in a row until there are 7 sts left. Totally, make 14 rows for the “wind screen”.

Then, include the first 11 sts in work, lift 7 more sts along the side of the “glass”, then 7 sts of the “glass” itself, then lift 7 sts along the opposite side of the “glass” and finish with 11 sts, which were previously left.

Make 2 rows with garter stitch on all these sts, and bind off the sts.

Make wheels, windscreen wipers, edges of cowl, and radiator grill using the crochet hook. Alternatively, you can change these details to create eyes, mouth, etc.

Make a cord of chain sts, insert it into the upper sts, and create a bow.
