How to Crochet Adorable Booties

Materials Needed

You'll need:

Length of foot: 11 cm.

Sole Instructions

Row-by-Row Directions

1st row: Make a set-up row of 16 chain stitches. Make single crochets, starting from the 3rd stitch. Make to the last 14th stitch and make 3 single crochets in it, then 13 single crochets to the end of the row.

2nd row: 13 single crochets, 2 single crochets in each of the next 3 stitches, 14 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next 3 stitches each.

3rd row: 8 single crochets, 3 half double crochets, 3 double crochets. 2 double crochets in the next 5 stitches each, then 3 double stitches and 3 half double crochets. Then, 8 single crochets and 2 single crochets in the next 6 stitches each.

4th row: 8 single crochets, 3 half double crochets, 5 double crochets, 2 double crochets in the next 6 stitches each, 5 double crochets, 3 half double crochets, 10 single crochets, 2 single crochets in every 2nd stitch from the next 6 stitches.

5th row: 64 single crochets, slip stitch in the 65th stitch.

6th-8th rows: 3 chain stitches increase, make a circle row with double crochets in each stitch, finish the row with slip stitches in the 3rd chain stitch increase. Cut the yarn in the last row and pull the yarn from the crochet hook. Tighten.

Toe Instructions

Fold the sole in the middle. Count 15 stitches from each side from the toe and place markers. Insert the yarn in the 1st stitch with the marker; the toe should be on the front left side.

Row-by-Row Directions

1st row: 3 chain stitches increase, 4 double crochets, 1 double crochet in the next 20 stitches each, but make every 2 double crochets with a common top, then 5 double crochets in each stitch.

Heel Instructions

Row-by-Row Directions

1st row: Count 4 stitches on the sole from the toe and insert the yarn in the 5th stitch, 3 chain stitches increase, make double crochets to the 5th stitch, including on the opposite side of your bootie. Don't forget to hide the ends of the yarn.

2nd-3rd rows: 3 chain stitches increase, all double crochets. Add 20 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase at the end of the row.

4th row: Make a row of double crochets, crochet every added chain stitch. Don't cut the yarn at the end of the row.

While making the second bootie, cut the yarn at the end of the 3rd row, as you need to make a reflective fastening strap. Attach yarn at the beginning of the row in the 3rd chain stitch from the opposite side of your bootie, then make 20 chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase. The 4th row will also be made with double crochets to the end of the row. Don't cut the yarn.

Finishing Touches

Fasten both booties with a "shrimp stitch" and create a chain of chain stitches on the fastening strap according to your button size. Sew the button securely.
