How to Make This Bigger

To enlarge your project, you can either increase the hook size or add more rounds of increases. Please make sure you have an even number of stitches for the double crochet section.

Instructions

Round Instructions

Rnd 1: chain 40, sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, 3 sc at the end. Don’t turn; work on the opposite side. sc in each stitch across, end with 2 sc.

Rnd 2: sc in the next 38 sc, 2 sc in the next 3 sc, sc in the next 37 sc, 2 sc in the next 3 sc.

Rnd 3: sc in the next 37 sc, 2 sc in the next 4 sc, sc in the next 37 sc, 2 sc in the next 3 sc.

Rnd 4: ch 4, skip a sc, *dc, ch 1, skip a sc, *repeat around, sl st into the chain 3.

Rnd 5: ch 1, *sc in the chain space, sc in the dc *repeat around, sl st into the chain 1 at the end.

Rnd 6 - Desired Length: I did 30 rounds. Alternate between Rnds 4–5. Finish with Rnd 5 with the sc.

The last four rounds, ch 1, sc in each sc around, sl st

Fasten off and weave in your ends.

Handle Instructions

Handle: G hook

Row 1: ch 4, sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in the next two sc, turn

Rows 2–110 or Your Desired Length: ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn

Fasten off. Sew the handle on both sides of the bag with needle and yarn.
