Knit Red Pullovers

You’ll need:

650 (750)g of mélange Ashana yarn (100% cotton; 33m/50g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 10.

Size: S (L).

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows as sts face, make yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-16th rows.

Stitches control: 11 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 53 (63) sts and make 1 WS row of purls. Don’t take this row into account. Then, work with relief pattern. In 37 cm = 48 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 43 (53) sts. In 52,5 cm = 68 rows (57 cm = 74 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the central 21 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts in the next 2nd row. In 55,5 m = 72 rows (60 cm = 78 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the rest 9 (14) sts of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 11 sts in 46 cm = 60 rows (50,5 cm = 66 rows) from the set-up row and bind off 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 33 sts and make 1 WS row of purls. Then, work with relief pattern. At the same time, increase 3 x 1 st in every 8th row from both sides (8 x 1 st in every 2nd and 4th rows from both sides) = 39 (49) sts, include the increased sts in pattern. In 24,5 cm = 32 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then 1 x 2 sts, 4 x 1 st, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row (2 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st, 1 x 3 sts). In 37 cm = 48 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 11 (17) sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 59 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles, make 1 circle row of knit sts and bind off all sts as knit sts. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
