You’ll Need
500 (500) 550 (600) 650g of brown sectional coloring Schachenmayr select silk wool yarn (64% wool, 27% linen, 9% polyamide; 120m/50g).
Knitting needles 4.5-5 and 5-5.5.
Size
S (M) L (XL) (2XL).

Stitch Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.
Main pattern: the quantity of sts is odd.
1st row (RS): 1 selvage st, (1 purl, 1 knit st) to the last 2 sts, 1 purl, 1 selvage st;
2nd row: knit.
Repeat 1st-2nd rows.
Stitches Control
18 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 103 (107) 115 (123) 133 sts. Make 1 WS row of purls, then work with stockinette stitch for 3 cm. Make the next WS row with knit sts for flap. Change to knitting needles 5.5-5 and work with the main pattern. At 58 (59) 60 (61) 62 cm from flap, bind off 33 (35) 39 (42) 47 sts. Continue work on the rest 37 (37) 37 (39) 39 sts of collar. Bind off sts at 15 cm height of collar.
Left Front
Cast on 51 (53) 57 (61) 67 sts with knitting needles 4.5-5 and make lower placket with flap in the same way as for back. Change to knitting needles 5-5.5 and work with the main pattern, increase 8 sts at the end of the 1st RS row = 59 (61) 65 (69) 75 sts. At 58 (59) 60 (61) 62 cm from flap, bind off 33 (35) 39 (42) 47 sts of shoulder from the right side. Continue work according to the pattern on the rest 26 (26) 26 (27) 28 sts for collar, bind off 4 sts at the beginning of the next WS row = 22 (22) 22 (23) 24 sts. In 15 cm (= height of collar) bind off all sts.
Right Front
Make in symmetry to left front. Cast on 8 sts at the end of the 1st WS row, bind off 4 sts at the beginning of RS row.
Sleeves
Cast on 81 (85) 89 (91) 95 sts with knitting needles 4.5-5 and make lower placket with flap in the same way as for back. Change to knitting needles 5-5.5 and work with the main pattern. At 27 cm height, bind off all sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder and collar seam. Make marks at 22 (23) 24 (25) 26 cm distance from shoulder seam. Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
Fold collar in half and sew.
