With wrong sides facing, hold two granny circles together with ch-sps lined up.

1st rnd: Join CD in any ch-sp being sure to work through both circles, ch 3, work 1 dc in the same ch-sp, continuing to work through both circles, work *2 dc in the next ch-sp, rep from * until you are about halfway around, insert the pillow between the circles and continue working from * around to encase the pillow, join — 96 dc;

2nd rnd: Ch 1, loosely work 1 sc in the same dc as join and each dc around, join — 96 dc.

Looking for a very, very simple instructions for an octagone  pattern for my phone table.  I have looked all over everywhere; can anyone help me.  All I know how to do is single and double crochet.
