You’ll need:

200 (300) 300g of pink-purple yarn (51% cotton, 45% polyacryl, 4% polyamide; 180m/100g) for top;

100g of the same yarn for scarf;

Knitting needles 5.

Size: S (M) L.

Scarf: 20 cm wide, 120 cm circumference.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: 1st row: 1 selvage st, * 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*, 1 selvage st;

2nd row: 1 selvage st, knit sts, slip yarn overs of the previous row and draw sts, 1 selvage st.

Repeat 1st-2nd rows.

Stitches control: 10 sts x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Top

Make 2 rectangulars. For this, cast on 28 (30) 32 sts with knitting needles 5 and work with the main pattern. In 120 (128) 136 cm = 180 (192) 204 rows, bind off sts.

Assembly

Fold both details across. Put them one upon another in a cross, like it’s shown on the pattern design, right half is upper. Count the knots from both sides and place markers. Connect details with matrass stitch in the following way: sew 12 (13) 14 knots in lower part of one side. Skip 24 (26) 28 knots of another detail, connect the next 10 knots. Make several stitches in one place when turn, catching both seams.

Loop Scarf

Cast on 22 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Continue work with main pattern. In 120 sts from the set-up row, sew open sts of the last row with kitchener’s stitch to the edge with bound off sts.
