You’ll need:

350 (400) 450g of olive (# 20) Seta Lana Grossa yarn (60% silk, 40% cotton; 115m/50g)

Knitting needles 5 and 5,5;

Circular knitting needles 5.


Size: S (M) L.


Used Patterns

Knot edge: slip the 1st st of every row as knit st. Make the last st every row as knit st. Make all the details with knot edge.

Garter stitch: knit sts.

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Relief pattern: work due to the scheme. Start with sts before the 1st arrow, repeat 6 sts of pattern between arrows, finish with st after the 2nd arrow. 3 pattern repeats are stated on the scheme. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Marked decreases: in the beginning of row, make broaching after selvage st, in the end of row, make knit2tog before selvage st. Decrease 1 st from each side.


Stitches control: 21 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.


Instructions

Back

Cast on 206 (218) 242 sts with knitting needles 5 and make 1 cm = 3 rows of garter stitch from placket, starting from WS row. Then, work with stockinette stitch for ruffle. Make purl2tog between selvage sts in the 6th (WS) row = 104 (110) 122 sts. In 2 cm = 6 rows from placket, work with relief pattern with knitting needles 5,5. In 35 cm = 80 rows from ruffle, bind off 6 sts for arm-holes, then, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 74 (80) 92 sts. In 18,5 (19,5) 20,5 cm = 42 (44) 38 rows from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the central 34 sts for neck-hole, after that finish each side separately, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 12 (15) 21 sts in the next row of each shoulder.


Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with V-shape neck-hole: in 34 (35) 36 cm = 78 (80) 84 rows from ruffle, bind off the central 2 sts and knit separately with marked decreases of 24 x 1 st in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 12 (15) 21 sts of each shoulder at the height of back.


Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 120 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles 5, start and finish in the corner of neck-hole. Make 1 WS row of purls for placket, 3 rows of garter stitch and bind off sts as knit sts. Put right end on the left end and sew short sides to neck-hole corner. Cast on 94 (98) 102 sts along arm-holes with circular knitting needles 5 and make 3 rows of garter stitch, start with WS row and bind off sts as knit sts. Make side seams.
